Local Government • Stakeholder Research

Saldanha Bay Municipality

The brief
Gauge the readiness of the Saldanha Bay community to participate in and benefit from the opportunities presented by the Saldanha Bay Industrial Development Zone.
Our role
Mixed-method study combining quantitative and qualitative data gathering, supported by a stakeholder relations strategy and the recruitment, training, deployment and site management of local youth as fieldworkers.
Outcome
3,000 questionnaires completed across all municipal areas — Vredenburg, Hopefield, Paternoster, Jacobsbaai, Langebaan and Saldanha — followed by 20 focus groups with residents and stakeholders. Completed within four months, under the auspices of our strategic partner Mthente Research and Consulting Services.

Government Communication & Information System

The brief
Understand public response to the State of the Nation Address and support the launch of the government community newsletter, Vuk'uzenzele.
Our role
Research workshops conducted nationwide amongst the youth and young adults from different backgrounds.
Outcome
Better understanding of the readership of the Vuk'uzenzele newsletter. The voice (interests) of the youth reflected in the President's annual State of the Nation address.

Business units within the corporate affairs department were fragmented despite forming part of a critical value chain.
Our role
A strategy and team building session (2017) designed to surface critical challenges and have colleagues work together on solutions.
Outcome
A united and efficient corporate affairs department. 

Membership Organisation • Strategy

Businesswomen's Association

The brief
As part of its growth, the BWA needed a strategy to decentralise operations from Johannesburg to regions around the country.
Our role
A plenary session with executive management (2011) aligning each province with the organisation's strategy, new trajectory and business processes.
Outcome
Report on systems and process changes required to enhance alignment of branches with head office.

Economic Development • Strategy Session

Atlantis Special Economic Zone — Community Stakeholder Network

The brief
As a representative of the Atlantis community, the ASEZ-CSN lacked a unified identity to effectively serve as a communication channel between the Atlantis SEZ and the local community.
Our role
A strategy and team building session commissioned by WESGRO. This project was undertaken in 2019 in collaboration with our strategic partner, Mthente Research and Consultancy Services.
Outcome
As Executive Committee members of the Community Stakeholder Network in Atlantis, representatives from different constituencies were now speaking in one voice.
